Why stay on the road when one has the ability to explore to unbeaten path? Can't come up with a reason, huh? That is because there is not a reason and that is what make a Honda ATV one unbelievable ride. A Honda ATV is an all-terrain vehicle, which means it is capable of driving over just about any surface.
The ability to slop through mud, splash through puddles, and even plow through snow banks are just some of the advantages to having a Honda ATV.
The Honda ATV is a vehicle that has been around since 1970, but one of the real classics did not come out until 1986. That classic Honda ATV is the trx250r. The trx250r, which came out just two years after Honda ATVs added a third and fourth wheel, was a ground breaking machine. The trx250r was the Honda ATV for any professional rider. With a liquid-cooled two-stroke engine and 246cc, no one could have resisted the trx250r if they wanted to. Like many Honda ATVs out today, similar specs on the trx250r include a six-speed transmission, adjustable suspension and a weight somewhere in the mid-300 lbs. The trx250r was the ultimate Honda ATV for competition and expert riders alike in the mid to late 1980s. However, much has changed since then, including the Honda ATV itself.
If a person's train of thought when buying a Honda ATV is out with the old and in with the new, then the trx400ex is the Honda ATV for them. The trx400ex has a five-speed transmission, but also packs in 397cc of raw, ground-splitting power. Some of the highlights of the trx400ex include the electric start function, long-travel suspension and a body that could easily be mistaken for a competition Honda ATV. The trx400ex was designed using one of Honda's best XR engines ever constructed. The cost for this beautiful Honda ATV is $5,999, and it comes in either black or red. With the trx250r for the old timers and the trx400ex for the pros, there is still the question of where does one go when looking for more power than one Honda ATV but less power than the other one. Fortunately, there is a middle ground.
That middle ground has a name, the trx300ex. The 2007 trx300ex has the sleek body work that was inspired by its bigger brother in the Honda ATV family, the trx450. The trx300ex has an engine that kicks out 282 cc and a 32 mm piston-valve complete with an accelerator pump. The trx300ex comes in either red or black colors and costs $4,899. Like all of the different models of the Honda ATV that are available, the trx300ex is offered with a payment plan. If one does not have the cash flow to purchase the Honda ATV up front, there is a payment plan available if the Honda ATV is bought through Honda's power sports website, powersports.honda.com. The plan allows for someone who purchases a new Honda ATV from the site to make monthly payments as low as $39 a month.
A Honda ATV is hands down one of the coolest vehicles for anyone to own. A Honda ATV can be a helpful instrument in allowing someone to take a shortcut through rugged terrain or just as a toy which is a blast both on and off of the asphalt. It was Robert Frost who said, 'I took the road less traveled by and just imagine how much more fun that road would have been if he took it on a Honda ATV.'
